Can we talk best reply

Answered By: Blake Jones Date: created: Dec 17 2020

You could respond by saying, “Yes.

Evidently, we both can.” Then you have the option to choose one of two courses: either turn and walk off, or add, “Would you like to?” In either case, be thankful they didn’t want to “reach out to you”!.

Can I speak with or can I talk to

Answered By: Jeffery Stewart Date: created: Aug 01 2020

In both the cases, the meaning is “have a conversation with somebody.” The difference is that speak to (or talk to) is less polite, since it put the emphasis on one doing the conversation, while speak with (or talk with) is more polite, since it doesn’t put the emphasis on just one doing the conversation.

Can I or could I Which is correct

Answered By: Neil Cooper Date: created: May 09 2020

Can, like could and would, is used to ask a polite question, but can is only used to ask permission to do or say something (“Can I borrow your car?” “Can I get you something to drink?”). Could is the past tense of can, but it also has uses apart from that–and that is where the confusion lies.

How do you ask someone for a talk

Answered By: Cameron Smith Date: created: Jul 19 2020

When you want to speak to a specific person, ask to speak to him or her with a polite question starting with ‘may’ or ‘could’. For example “May I speak to Rachel Smith, please?” sounds a lot better than “I want to speak to Rachel Smith”. Use polite questions when you are talking about the reason for your call, too.

Answered By: Wallace Edwards Date: created: Jul 13 2020

Good Time Vs. Francis suggests that instead of opening with the “Is this a good time to talk” tack, you should go the other route and ask whether it is a bad time to talk. She thinks that this can elicit humor in the person being asked, who might say that it’s always a bad time.
